Remix by Miriam Cabessa

Design and Production an Artist Book for Miriam Cabssa.
The Remix series diverges from Cabessa’s
usual practice of laying blank supports on
the painting table, waiting to be quickened, to
receive marks of color and motion. In Remix, the painting support laid down on the table is a
book page, already occupied by visual images
from art history, or texts that accompany §the images like a distant echo of those who
engaged with them in the past. She joins these
with her own acts of painting, full of surprises as always, loaded with paint, embarking on her
familiar Cabessan adventure as she smears,
drags, rakes, removes, changes direction,
halts and resumes.
